Wiffeney is the brainchild of two best friends: Grammy-nominated drummer and producer Jai D (Jay Z, Tyler The Creator, Haelos) and renowned animator Steph Hope (FX Networks, Haruomi Hosono).

The band's sound is soulful vocals over infectious rhythms, sprawling guitars and gloopy synths, along with their trademark psychedelic visuals. After releasing their first single "Townhouse" in 2025, they played key shows in Tokyo, Paris and London, and are set to embark on their debut UK tour in Feb / March 2026.

Their self-produced debut EP was engineered by Jack Boston (The Cure) and recorded at the historical Rockfield Studios in Monmouthshire, with seasoned live musicians Will Montague (Afrika Baby Bam) and Chris Axe (Hannah Williams and the Affirmations).
